Measure the card format
Dragon Shield distinguishes standard cards up to 63 × 88 mm from Japanese-size cards up to 59 × 86 mm. These are supported card dimensions, not the finished outside dimensions of the sleeves. The naming convention does not mean every card printed in Japanese needs the smaller sleeve.
Use the actual card format and the maker’s compatibility statement. If you have a nonstandard promotional card, token, or oversized accessory, measure it separately rather than importing the dimensions of the rest of the game.
Do not compare unlike measurements
Gamegenic PRIME lists a sleeve dimension and a maximum card dimension separately; its Inner Sleeves use another size for another role. An inner sleeve and a playing sleeve can both be intended for standard cards while having different outside measurements.
A seller title that says standard without naming the role is incomplete. Check whether the item is an inner, a regular playing sleeve, or an oversleeve intended around another sleeve. Those layers should not be selected from the size label alone.
Watch the variant selector
Some manufacturer pages combine standard and Japanese options under one color and product name. Verify the selected size and the pack contents before comparing bundles. A matching photo is not enough if the page changes size through a selector.
The reviewed Dragon Shield standard packs and the smaller-format options have different stated quantities. Build your quantity calculation from the selected variant rather than remembering a count associated with the brand.
Then check the next layer
A correct first sleeve does not establish that it fits an arbitrary second sleeve. Nor does a properly sleeved card establish the capacity of a deck box or pocket binder. Check each connection in order: card to sleeve, sleeve to outer layer if used, and the whole assembly to storage.
When documentation leaves the exact pairing unclear, label it unknown or estimated. Do not convert a small numerical clearance into a confirmed fit.
