Start with the construction difference
KMC lists the same nominal sleeve dimensions for Perfect Fit and Perfect Hard, but different material thickness and pack quantities. Perfect Hard should therefore be chosen for the thicker inner construction, not because the word Hard establishes a measured protection score.
If keeping the smallest practical stack is your priority, regular Perfect Fit is the more relevant starting point. If the thicker construction is what you want, choose Perfect Hard while reassessing the outer sleeve and box. Neither choice is a promise of a particular shuffle feel.
Calculate the full deck
A 100-card deck needs 100 inners before tokens and spares. With the documented quantities, that is one regular Perfect Fit pack or two Perfect Hard packs. Buying one pack of each does not supply a consistent 100-card inner layer of either product.
If replacing worn sleeves, plan a consistent setup rather than mixing constructions because the outside dimensions match. The package count and thickness are separate buying facts.
Equal dimensions do not imply equal stack height
Two sleeves can share width and height while contributing different thickness. A deck box that was comfortable with one setup may become tight with another. The right question is the complete card, inner, and playing-sleeve combination, not whether both packages say standard size.
KMC’s documented product descriptions establish intended layering with its sleeves. They do not establish every cross-brand pairing. Check the outer sleeve and seek evidence for the exact setup when clearance is limited.
Other KMC inners answer different questions
Perfect Side-in changes the loading direction, while Perfect Black changes the back construction. Neither is merely another color of Perfect Fit. Select the feature you actually need, then repeat the quantity and fit checks for that exact line.
